War

We offer coverage that indemnifies shipowners for loss or damage arising from insurrections, hostile acts by third parties, blockage or trapping of waterways by hostile actors, piracy, and other war-related perils which lead to physical damage to the vessel that are typically excluded under traditional Hull & Machinery policies.

Builders Risk

Ai Marine offers Marine Hull Builders Risk Insurance. This provides protection to shipowners for vessels while they are being built, converted, repaired, or undergoing major refits. This specialised coverage helps safeguard shipbuilders, vessel owners, and contractors against physical loss or damage to the hull, machinery, equipment, and materials during construction and sea trials, until final delivery to the assured.

Coverage can be written on Institute clauses for builders’ risk or chapter 19 on the Nordic Marine Insurance Plan v.2023 and includes covers perils such as fire, theft, weather-related damage, accidents during launching, and other unforeseen events that may occur throughout the building process. Policies can be tailored to cover projects ranging from small craft to large commercial vessels.
